Kak Devy's Wedding!!

Kak Devy's Wedding was held on Sunday, May 22nd, 2005 so my family (Dad, Mom & Ikhsan) went to Bandung on Saturday morning. Cuz on Friday nite Dad had to go to a wedding reception of the child of his office colleague. With the new highway (that was used for the 50 years Remembrance of the Asian-African Conference) it only took us about 2hours to get to Bandung!! And this time the chauffeur was the one driving, cuz my dad was a bit tired, usually my dad's the one who drives. This was the first time we went to Bandung with the chauffeur, Ikhsan sitting in the front seat, and Dad sitting in the back seat of the Suzuki APV...!

Eniwei...that Saturday we checked into the hotel at about 9 AM then we went to Kinanti (Ua Tati's house). At lunch time it was Acara Mangalehan Mangan, aka "the last food given by the bride-to-be's parents to her", it's a Batak tradition. After that there was "Latihan Manortor".. kata Ua Winny aku paling bagus Manortor-nya..hehehe.. Walo badan gede tapi luwes sekali dan cepat tangkap, huehehe *jadi melayang en besar kepala* Yaa.. gw doeloe waktu kecil pernah belajar tari tradisional (Jawa en Bali) siy...

After lunch we went back to the hotel, took a bath & changed our clothes and then as usual went to CiWalk (Cihampelas Walk). We ate at Pisa Cafe, and as usual my eyes was searching for the good-looking-waiter, hehehe :D and he was there..! Lumayan cuci mata :P Oia Mom bought me this stuffed doll which is a cow, loetchoe banget bulet gituh.. I'll put the pics of it down here somewhere...

Sunday morning rain is falling.. eh enggak ding untung banget gak ujan... bisa gawat orang mo nikah malah ujan... Maxud gw on Sunday morning I had to wake up early and go to Mesjid Pusdai so I can get may make-up done. Kak Evie and I were appointed to be "Pendamping Pengantin Wanita" (bridesmaid bukan yaa..). After we got our make-up done my mom and Kak Evie's mom (Ua Erry) said we looked beautiful..! hehehe.. Mom said that after I have make-up on you can't see my pimples..!! Well good thing that all was well.. berjalan lancar maxudnyee..

After the Akad Nikah then there was the Reception. Then the bride and groom had to do the "Tor-Tor" dance (Manortor) the traditional Batak dance for weddings. After that there was "Tor-Tor Muda-Mudi" the Tor-Tor that was done by the younger relatives of the bride and groom. Kak Evie, Bang Rino, Ikhsan and I were some of 'em. Pegal2 bow! But I was happy, I can Tor-Tor. Walo gw lama di luar negeri (USA) tetep aja gw darah Batak en Sunda.. Batak abiss deh...

After the reception we went to the hotel to check out. I cleaned my face from the thick make-up and... TA-DAA new pimples...! B'coz of the make-up I got zits! Mampuss gw... Sudahlah.. ga pa2, tapi gw ga sempet copot sanggul gw (sanggulnya ga pake palsu lohh pake rambut asli gw) jadi gw ampe di Jakarta masih pake sanggul. Jadi gw mandi malem2, untung senen gw ga ada kuliah en selasa libur (Waisak).

Sakit Perut!!! Tapi teteup ke salon ^^;

Seperti biasa gw creambath wortel!! Setelah beberapa kalee gw ke INAN Salon, akhirnya creambath yang natural balik lagee...!!! Kemaren2 sempet gak ada yang Natural Creambath (wortel, lidah buaya, ginseng, etc.) dan kali ini ada yang wortel!!! Alhamdulillah...

Plus, I also had a pedicure..a paraffin pedicure!!!! So it starts with normal pedicure, cleaning your foot and shaping your nails and stuff..then the paraffin part. It is some kinda wax that's heated and YOUR FOOT HAS TO BE DIPPED INTO THE HOT WAX 3 TIMES FOR EACH FOOT!!!!


HUAAAAA....!!!! THAT was the FIRST AND LAST TIME I would do Paraffin Pedicure... Not again... I'd rather apply lotion every night to my feet than dip it into hot wax again.. No never again... And for you girls out there, penderitaannya worth it sih...tapi enggak deh jangan...


Btw, gw sakit perut bulanan... tapi demi creambath tuk rambut... hehe.. :)

Gladi Resik & Show Time!!

WHOA!!! And I thought I was late for the rehearsal in GKJ (Gedung Kesenian Jakarta).. when I arrived at 11 AM I thought they already started to rehearse..ternyata belum.. Biasa orang Indonesia jam karet^^;

The Orchestra only got a chance to rehearse the first 4 songs (played in Session 1) and we didn't have a chance to rehearse the last 2 songs (played in Session 2) on stage. When we were gonna rehearse the last 2 songs the committee of the organization of the concert said that the guests were already entering the building so we're gonna do the REAL THING!!!

OMG so nervous.. so nervous that my hands were sweating and I had lots and lotsa butterflies in me tummy! It's been a long time I haven't been on stage in an orchestra, so I was nervous! And so before the curtain opens we take our places, and the MCs start their act in opening the show...

SHOW TIME!!!!



After the show was over..LEGAAAA..... My frenz came up on stage to cipika-cipiki alias congratulated me in the concert (padahal gw cuma Violin 3 gitu lohh). I mean it was obvious that the star of the day was.... *drum roll*


Rayi! The drummer of the Orchestra and member of the Band FRD!


You got some fans there Rayi. I write this but I'm not even sure the guy reads it cuz I don't think he knows my blog, I mean I only know him as a student in SM IYO (Sekolah Musik - Indonesian Youth Orchestra / IYO Music School) Heck I don't care, it's written here already anyway...


He sang "Ordinary People" by John Legend smoothly with a great voice and he could hit the high notes too, although he was havin a cough (salut gw ama dia). The 2nd song was "Tonight Tonight" by Smashing Pumpkins, and he, the band and some of the violininsts and celloists were rockin' out! The drums stood out in this song, it sounded like a machine gun, but it was cool..!

But uhh...I got a rose.. from Mom.. hehe... Serasa jadi artis..huehehehe... :p

Gladi Kotor

Time for Gladi Kotor!!! Ternyata nyang Orchestra "muncul" pertama dan terakhir! Enak yaa.. yang Ensemble anak2 kecil..mereka tampil diantaranya jadii...abis latihan Gladi Kotor bagian mereka udah deh..pulang.. Orchestra dari awal ampe akhir harus ada di tempat latihan^^;

Intensive Practice

Wuaduhh..semakin dekat ke hari-H semakin berat latihannya...!! fiuuhh.. Cuapekk.. Abis kuliah pulang sebentar, langsung ke tempat latihan deh (SM IYO)!

Hopefully all these tiring practices pay-off on the day of the concert!

Holiday...Practice

Today is a HOLIDAY!!! Hoooraayyy! May 5^th..I don't even know what we're havin' a holiday for. Ade gw sakit gituh gara² kecapekan EBTA Praktek SMP..jadi diem deh biasanya rame banget rumah ^^^;;

But even tho it's a holiday, I still have violin practice for this Sunday's concert (May 8^th)! Hope that the concert will be successful!

Accident?! O-M-G!

Ada2 aja ye.. Si Ardo en Tepan kecelakaan! Gak heran sih, memikirkan situasinya dimana Ardo yang menyetir motor. Nyetir mobil aja gw yang jadi penumpang ngerasa nyawa gw terancam..! Gimana motor?! Heck.. I dunno what's in that guy's mind?! I just hope that the both of them can learn sumthin from this accident..like uhh..not to drive too fast (no duhh) Tapi gw gak terlalu khawatir, orang bodoh gak mungkin sakit ^^; Lagian gw jenguk dua2nya di Emergency Room of RSP Pertamina masih bisa ngelawak! Ampuunn... Get well soon guys ;)
